R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

I guess I just have a few words to say on Respect tonight. Lately I've been noticing more and more that the people today, just don't care as much about respect. I feel like it is HUGELY disrespectful to call your husband Lazy, no matter who you are talking to, or how frustrating he may be. He is your husband, whom you have vowed your life too in sickness and in health. How humiliated would you be if he told his friends how lazy you can be? or about any of your annoying habits or shortcomings? Would your heart not be crushed? Your confidence shaken? Ever heard of the golden rule? FOLLOW IT. It's been around this long for a reason. I get so tired of women who wonder why their man doesn't "measure" up. QUIT MEASURING. You are not Judge and Jury. Your job description should be Lover, Cheerleader, Motivator,Safe Place. You want him to talk to you? Become a safe place to go. Oh and just for the record, Sex, is a big deal. So take the time to figure it out. Seriously. I have some great books...and stories. ( not those kind of stories. ;)  ) For that matter, MARRIAGE is a big deal. It's worth fighting for. I don't mean like "fighting" for (insert picture of tiny child punching large adult and falling to ground in exhaustion...) I mean FIGHTING for. ( UF champions in the ring man.) Have the respect for yourself, your husband, your marriage, and if you have kids, them too, to FIGHT. To keep trying. Actually trying not just blaming. Jesus tells us to get the log out of our own eye before we remove the speck from our friend's eye. He is a wise Fella. How on Earth can you expect to see well enough to correct those in your life if you can't see through to deal with your own faults?  Take action. Seek help. Don't try and be all Angelina Jolie about it. Oh. and LOVE with everything you have in you. Love is so much more than just an emotion. It is perserverence, and trust, and forgiveness, and laughter, and support,  and RESPECT, and on and on and on. Your heart's capacity will amaze and astound you. Go ahead, give it a shot. Prepare to be floored.
